Who, What, When, Where & How?
How many different ways can we answer the perennial journalists' questions: Who, What, When, Where & How? In our Smith Alumnae Quarterly Class Notes the replies are:
Who--one or more of our 475 or so living classmates in touch with Smith
What--reports of family, travels, activities, health, friendships, studies and more
When--range of last week all the way back to 1955
Where--all over the world
How--by land, sea or air AND MOST OFTEN THROUGH THE INTERNET!
Dear Classmates:
After serving three years as your Secretary my Smith Alumnae Quarterly
deadlines are ever on my mind--May 15 for Autumn, August 15 for Winter,
November 15 for Spring and February 15 for Summer. By the time you read
about yourselves, the "news" may be more than six months old! Shades
of letters between John and Abigail Adams! Nonetheless, your news is
interesting to all of us so enjoy the convenience of dashing off an
e-mail to me as opposed to dipping your quill pen in ink!
In late September, our 1955 Class "steering committee" will meet in New
York to discuss among other topics:
1) mini-reunions
2) improving communication among classmates through both the House Rep
network and our updated website (http://smith55.com)
3 ideas and personnel for our 55th reunion in 2010.
Send any of your suggestions and recommendations to our President, Pat
Rediker Goldstein, Reunion Chairs Diane Neal Emmons and Linda Ekstrom
Stanley and/or your House Rep a.s.a..p. Anticipating a flurry of
mini-reunions in the next two years prior to our 55th we surely will
have many renewed friendships, planned gatherings and 75th birthday
celebrations to report throughout the country and even abroad, and our
Class Notes will be bursting with news of our Scintillating Seventies!
In the meantime, carpe diem!

Reminder:
Your class treasury needs your help. We use it to enable
classmates to return for reunion, cover the costs of the
newsletters and pay other class incurred expenses.
Class Dues: $25 per year or $100 for 5 years (2005-2010).
